Plant of the month for May is…
Our Davidia is now in full flower. Or is it? The “Handkerchiefs” are actually bracts, which are modified leaves. The flower is in the centre of the two ‘Leaves’.
Ernest Wilson travelled some 2000 miles only to find the tree he was looking for had been felled! Ours is S/W of the house for you all to see.
