FLOWERS GALORE AT TREWITHEN THIS MOTHER’S DAY
Mums love flowers, but rather than give her a bunch, why not visit Trewithen Gardens, near Probus, where mums will get in free.
Recently signalling the start of spring, the majestic Asiatic magnolias, with their striking and delicately tinted flowers, are resplendent amongst the woodland glades and the camellias, for which Trewithen is internationally renowned as a Garden of Excellence, as well as rhododendrons are in full bloom.
Visitors can also follow the winding pathways amongst Champion Trees and other unique and rare plants and look over the floral canopy from raised viewing platforms.
A great family day out, everyone is invited, including dogs on leads, and the majority of the garden and its facilities are wheelchair friendly.
Trewithen Gardens, The Tea Shop and Plant Centre are open from 10am – 4.30pm. Entry is £7.50 for adults (£5 local Cornish residents offer – proof of address required) and children under 12 go free.
