Getting ready for March 1st opening.
Despite the continuing wet weather work is increasing as march the 1st approaches.
Waking the garden up from its winters rest involves pruning of the hydrangeas, raking the gravel paths, preparing and putting out the benches plus placing the internal garden signage. we have always had a map but never any real reference points within the garde. I knew where I was but visitors, sometimes, felt lost or worse that they may ahve missed something in the garden.
For the first time we are placing out path and garden bay name signs. We wanted a sign that was in-keeping with the garden and not too formal. These hand carved name plates mounted on logs seem to be a good comprimise.
