The last “plant of the month” for 2013 is….
Camellia sasanqua ‘Narumigata’
The large shrub has white cup shaped flowers with notched petal edges surrounding the central boss of yellow stamens. Some flowers have a hint of magenta-pink at the tips.
Flowering through the autumn and well into winter it brightens up even the darkest winter’s day.
That’s it. All 12 nominations are in. During December I will announce this years PPOTY (Plant Personality Of The Year) shortlist and count down to the all important winner. As usual there will be a glitzy ceremony (Me in my office!) with the overall winner announced mid December.
