Primula pulverulenta

This gorgeous “Candelabra Primula” has deep red to purple flowers in whorls around a white mealy (a white “dust” covering) stem.

Grows naturally on wet hillsides in Sichuan province, China. Introduced by Ernest Wilson.

Ours seed themselves quite freely and can be seen spreading into the granite chipping path.
