Over the last few days we’ve had temperatures dip to the low single figures. On those lovely cold and crisp frosty mornings it’s very important to keep off of your lawns. This time of year it’s necessary to carry out any annual lawn care and essential to remove fallen leaves from the grass as soon as possible. But and this is a big but if there is a frost on your lawn DO NOT walk or step foot on it until its had a good chance to thaw (good excuse if there ever was one for a sit down with a cup of tea Every footstep will bruise the grass and leave you with some nasty looking brown footprints for the whole of the winter.
Definitely a case for that English catchphrase said by many a gardener and park keeper “Please keep off the grass”
