Today we had year 4 from Probus primary school on their now annual poetry and art day.

Led by their teache,Mr bowyer, the day was run with the morning viewing and feeding our red squirrels and gaining inspiration for poetry from our champion trees.

After lunch was the more hands on art lesson creating “Art” from items found around the garden. This included a “floating tree” made from rhododendron leaves, a “petal portrait” of Trewithen house and a “Stick picture” to mention only a few.

It was interesting to see the children out and about, interacting with nature then recording it all on their Ipads! Modern technology isn't all bad!

The sun broke through in the afternoon and all in all then children had a brilliant day.

What better place to be on a sunny afternoon than running around a wood land garden?
