Raising money for: Brain Research Trust
Jack G
The Challenge

we are 3 19 year olds who, this August, will cycle the 1,300 miles from Rome to Winchester in 23 days followed by our support car, a converted hearse! We will be camping along the way and living off of the barest minimum whilst we battle some serious climbs in the Alps and the heat of the Mediterranean. Please visit our website at www.rome2home.com
The Charity

We have chosen to support the Brain Research Trust due to a number of personal links to brain related conditions. Firstly my brother-in-law suffered a major brain trauma whilst competing in a local triathlon and my Grandmother and Fred's Uncle died of brain tumours. Both of us are witnessing fist-hand the horrors of Dementia. Did you know 1 in 6 of the UK population will suffer a brain related condition of some kind and that 1 in 5 of all hospital admissions require treatment from a neurologist or neurosurgeon?
The Training

We have been 'plugging and chugging' on the old bikes for the last month or two, but no matter how much training we do, we will never be fully prepared for the intensive heat and altitude we will experience along the way!
