Rose garden starting to flower.
After the cold winter and lovely spring summer has arrived early. The roses have put on exceptional growth with a real health and vigour about them.
Our first rose is opened last Friday. The variety is Rosa ‘Jacqueline du Pre’ which has musk scented white blooms that open up to reveal gold stamens in the centre of white frilly edged petals. With the garden exit now through the Rose garden every visitor will be able to experience the roses in bloom as their last memory of a visit here. What better way to end a day than in the presence of the nation’s favourite flower?
