To extend the season of interest when growing roses consider leaving some varieties to set fruit or “Rose Hips”
One of the most spectacular Roses in the garden is Rosa moyesii. A species rose introduced by Ernest Wilson in 1903 from West china. Its hips are large and bright crimson almost glowing in the autumn light.
It has rich blood red/crimson flowers on erect open branches with few spines, a bonus when handling the plant.
A must addition to any rose collection.
