As the romantic poem goes Roses are red etc etc but here we have Orange, peach and yellow’s as well.

Rosa ‘Duchess of Cornwall’ is one of the first varieties to flower this year. In bloom now with its peachy apricot, some say salmon pink, colour and large heavily scented flowers it’s the star of the early flowering season in the Rose garden.

The climbers are reaching great heights and, hopefully, will have covered the pergola by the end of this year.

Let’s hope for a better summer than last year to fully appreciate the Roses.
