Success at this years spring show.
After a huge effort by all involved we triumphed at the Cornwall garden society’s spring show this year.
On the Thursday Neil, Roy and Sally built our show garden trade stand, which gained lots of praise from all who visited the stand.
In the floral competition Friday was staging day. We arrived en-mass (Neil, Roy, Niall, Sally, Helen, Rebecca and myself) to display the 46 class entries. I shouldn’t get so excited when the schedule arrives on a wet day in January!
Neil, Niall and Roy should take full credit for the Class 1 victory and ‘The Rosemary Cobbald-Sawle Cup’ that goes with the victory. Classes 2-9 gave us the ‘Louis Reid Cup’ for most points and the Rhododendron classes gave us the ‘Mrs Charles Williams Rhododendron Cup’ for most points.
Add to this the RHS Banksian medal for most points in show and 14 first places several seconds and I can proudly say we had a good show.
