On Saturday 19th April I went around the garden with a small group consisting of Mr Galsworthy, Sam Galsworthy, Mr and Mrs Bond and Tony Kirkham and his wife. We had a long day of discovery and insight. Tony's plant knowledge was inspiring. We even ‘Discovered' a plant Emmenopterys henryi, a Wilson introduction which he described "One of the most strikingly beautiful trees of the Chinese forests…"

As a legacy reminder of the day Tony and Sam planted a Wollemi pine in Endean bay.

I hope this becomes a long lasting relation ship between Tony, Kew and Trewithen.
