The tea room, famous for its home-baked cakes, biscuits, scones and flapjacks, will be open from 10am to 3pm until March 1st when Trewithen's internationally renowned gardens re-open. From then on it will stay open until 4.30pm.
The full menu includes morning coffee, light lunches and afternoon teas using locally sourced ingredients including a range of Tregothnan teas. The tea room is also licensed which means it offers St Austell ales and wines from the Polmassick vineyard just a few miles away.
It is sited in a leafy corner of the garden close to the plant centre, which will also have been re-stocked for the season. There is free parking and good disabled access.
The Tea Shop has increasingly becomes a destination in its own right and is open to everyone regardless of whether they intend to visit the rest of the famously beautiful estate, which is situated just outside Probus, near Truro.
