It has been a tough winter for Mother Nature but, undefeated, she will be looking radiantly spring-like with magnolia, camellia, rhododendron and daffodils all showing a fabulous array of colour.

All mums will get free entry into the award-winning gardens near Probus which have undergone a series of restoration projects throughout the winter including the addition of exotic plants in the George Johnstone Walk and the planting of a Cornish apple orchard.

The Plant Centre will be offering £1 off all Trewithen-grown Camellias until Sunday 14th March as well as selling special Mother's Day Cornish grown spring baskets. The Plant Centre is positively teeming with Trewithen Nursery-grown plants as well as the addition of a Gift Shop stocking pottery, local artists' work and glass. The Garden Shop is a new feature this year stocked with quality garden tools and accessories.

The smell of homemade fudge will tempt visitors into the well-stocked Tea Shop which also offers freshly baked pastries and gateaux and other homemade delights. Tea Shop staff have been busy making their own marmalade, lemon curds and chutneys as well as flavored vinegar and oils for people to purchase.
