A classic car show combined with a quintessential country day out, the Country and Classics’ fundraiser for Marie Curie Cancer Care promises to be a fun-packed day for the whole family.
The event takes place in the grounds on Sunday, September 11th – from 11am until 4pm. The main focus will be over 100 classic cars, but there will be a wide variety of attractions for all ages including live music, a dog show and many stalls including vintage crafts, local produce, antiques, food stalls and a beer tent. Another highlight of the day will be our own take on the radio classic, Gardeners’ Question Time – compered on the day by Head Gardener, Gary Long.
The event will also be a rare chance to enjoy the spectacular garden in its full summer glory. Usually closed to the public from July until March, guests at the event will have full access to the spectacular lawn and woodland walks, bordered by world renowned magnolias, camellias, rhododendrons and 24 Champion Trees.
We’re proud to host a fundraising event for Marie Curie Cancer Care every summer. The charity is dedicated to the care of people with terminal cancer and other illnesses, reaching tens of thousands of patients across throughout the country, hundreds of which live in Cornwall.
Owner, Sam Galsworthy said: “Marie Curie Cancer Care provides outstanding care to people through the most difficult of situations. We are passionate about providing support.”
