Volunteer at Trewithen

Volunteers

Trewithen’s volunteer programme is a symbiotic relationship – the time and effort given by volunteers is crucial to the maintenance of the garden and the experience they gain is often a springboard to rewarding careers.

In the past volunteers have been offered jobs at other Cornish gardens, students have gone on to further their training at university and even at Kew Gardens and some have gone on to start their own horticulture businesses.

Voluntary Placements

Working alongside Head Gardener Gary Long and his team, don’t miss the unique opportunity to gain important practical experience and learn horticultural techniques amongst one of Cornwall’s great historic gardens.

Placements are adaptable and can cater for a range of requirements – from students in need of experience to those who fancy a career change or even simply just to be out in the fresh air.
